Rick Vaughan’s Invaluable Addition

Rick Vaughan, our Learning Center Manager and Chaplain, is a man of many talents: teacher, mentor, musician, and pastor. He was born in Toronto, Canada and moved to Albuquerque 3 years ago to marry his wife and to be close to her ailing mother. Little did he realize that his years of teaching in a high school along with 10 years as a Baptist pastor would help make him a perfect fit for the Learning Center management. Rene Palacios, Programs Director, agrees, “Rick Vaughan has been an invaluable addition to the Programs Department of ARM.”

Rick works directly with the men in our New life Program ( NLP) by maintaining the various study programs for our program members. He teaches and supervises the men in their progress towards gaining their GED certification. He helps them reach a deeper knowledge and understanding of God in their lives with a comprehensive Bible study program. He also provides spiritual guidance as Chaplain to the five men in his care.

You can see the spirit of compassion in Rick as he talks about the men in his care, saying “I really enjoy helping make a difference in the daily struggle and learning process they all go through.”

Rick’s vision for the future of the Mission involves growth. Rick states, “I would like to see a more comprehensive and individualistic educational plan for each of the NLP’s in the program.” Thank you, Rick. We are blessed to have you with us in the ongoing work of transforming lives through the power of God’s love.

"Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality."

Galatians 6:2
