Where does my money go?

The Albuquerque Rescue Mission is dedicated to the faithful stewardship of every dollar that is given on behalf of the poor and homeless. We conduct annual independent financial audits using an outside accounting firm to insure the highest degree of fiscal integrity. Over seventy five cents of every dollar donated goes directly to the programs which change lives at the Mission everyday.

Can I designate my donations for a specific ministry?

Many times our donor family feels lead to give a donation specifically for a certain portion of the ministries here at the Mission. This website is the product of a group of special donors who gave gifts designated for the website. Simply enclose a note with your donation or even write the area you wish to support on the bottom of your check and we will be sure that your gift is used in the area you designate.

Are the donations that I make on this Website secure?

The Albuquerque Rescue Mission has incorporated the highest level of security available to us to insure that your information is not seen by anyone other than the appropriate Mission staff. The Mission never rents or sells donor information of any kind as we see your trust in us as a precious and valuable part of our relationship. If would like to talk to us about Internet security or have questions, please do not hesitate to call Jannetta LaMort 346-4673 ext 236

Where does the Mission get it's funding from?

The Mission has been in operation continuously since 1954 because of the faithful, meaningful support of the caring and compassionate people of Albuquerque and New Mexico. Our donor family gives of their treasure, their time and their talents without which the current staff of less than 35 would not be able to handle the pressing needs of thousands of homeless.

The Mission does not seek Federal, State, City or United Way funding for any of our year round programs.

"We ought therefore to show hospitality to such men so that we may work together for the truth."

Galatians 6:2
