Thank you New Covenant Church for your timely food drive! Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church - Hope Totes! Thank you Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church! Your hard worked gathering all the ingredients for the Hope Totes is much appreciated. The homeless have a hard time finding even the most basic hygiene items. Your congregation's donations were a hit and a huge help in our work to supply homeless men, women and children with the daily hygiene needs we all take for granted. UA Local Union 412 Plumbers and Pipefitters KKIM Ministry reaches out in support of the Mission with a Shoe and Sock Drive! We give thanks and praise to the ministry and support of KKIM, and to their dedication and heart of service to the Albuquerque Rescue Mission and the homeless people of Albuquerque. Boys and Girls Club of Belen- Blanket Drive I had the joy of traveling to Belen to speak with the children in the Boy's and Girl's Club recently and found it an absolute joy. The children were so open- asking questions about how people become homeless. Very good listeners and generous in their caring. They went on to hold a blanket drive- along with several other B &G's clubs in the area and donated them just before the cold spell hit us here in Albuquerque and winter shelter opened. Extreme Makeover- A.R.M Men's Dorm Thank you to the ladies that donated the lovely matching bedspreads and curtains to makeover the men's dorm for our New Life Program Members! Your generosity and caring is so very appreciated. Blake's Lotaburger came to the Mission and provided dinner for all our guests one evening! The familiar logo on the van drew people left and right - waiting for their chance to dive into a delicious hot meal from Blake's! THANK YOU! Many meals, nights of warm shelter, and warm clothes will be provided by the generous $1000.00 gift the Bank of Albuquerque presented our Executive Director Pastor John Hill and were happy to present them with a certificate of appreciation. Bosque Farms School- Children Leading in Giving We were delighted with the check of $201.08 the students at the Bosque Farms Christian School brought to the Mission to support our work with the homeless and hungry of Albuquerque. A student led effort- we applaud their hard work and dedication to making a difference in their community. We were blessed by a 10,000.00 check from Wal-Mart - so many homeless and helpless need our help- winter is here and the need is high. THANK YOU WAL-MART! | ||
